Sophie Hill-Jones left us on the 31st May 2008 at 6.30a.m.
She was 24 years old and worked as a motgage advisor for HSBC.
Sophie lived at her family home, just outside Stourbridge and had 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Travelling to a family birthday celebration, her car was involved in a tragic accident , spinning off the M42 and tumbling down the embankment. This resulted in Sophie hurting her head and receiving severe head injury.
She was taken by air ambulance to Selly Oak and later transferred to NCCU at the QE hospital. She never regained conciousness and sadly died 6 days later.
Obviously as her mum, i am very biased towards my daughter but describing her is easy...
Sophie was an amazing person with an abundance of energy. She made the most of every minute of her life and was infectious with her enthusiasm.
She was very popular and her friends are doing all they can to keep her memory alive.
We are a very close family and losing Sophie has affected us all, none of us will be the same again. We love her now and always.

Sorry for your loss, but I couldn't help but note the amazing coincidences between your daughters death and that of my aunties....She died December 10th 2008 after being hospitalised with a severe head injury for 2 years. She was in a accident on the A38 near derby on the way from her 21st birthday party. Her name was Sophie Hill. I know what you have been through, my family and I have suffered similar pains. I just couldn't believe when I read the about yor daughter.

What a beautiful daughter - I'm so sorry to hear about her tragic accident. I'm glad her friends are helping you & your family to keep her memory alive.
My son, Nathaniel, was also born in 1983, but sadly died shortly after he was born. I also have a son (born a year after Nathaniel) aged 23 & a daughter aged 22, so I understand a little of the pain you are feeling.
Be glad for the time she had on earth & the joy she brought to you & others.

I know your pain... I sympathize with you in your great loss. My grandson died in a head on collision in March 2006 and in June 2007 I lost my 33 year old son (he left behind two little boys). I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I know your family is hurting and nothing anyone says can numb that pain of the loss of a child. I do feel it helps when those of us have walked your road share our grief together. I'm a long way from you... but my heart reaches across the many miles to you in understanding. Be good to yourself and don't let things people say hurt you... they don't understand that 'you'll never be the same again' if they haven't walked your path in the loss of a precious child. I am so very sorry.
